At ChessPuz, we prioritize the privacy and security of our users. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we process, how third-party advertising and commerce partners operate, and how we protect your information while you solve chess puzzles and level up your skills.

1. General Information & Offline-First Design

ChessPuz is designed primarily as an offline-first mobile application. We do not maintain custom user accounts or centralized gameplay tracking databases. Your core gameplay statistics and progression remain under your own control on your physical device.

2. Data Collection and Local Storage

• Personal Information: We do not collect or store personal identifiers such as your full name, email address, home address, or phone number during normal gameplay.
• On-Device Local Storage: Your puzzle history, tactical chapter progress, ELO ratings, active streaks, and player preferences (board themes, audio, and haptic feedback) are stored strictly locally on your device. Deleting the application will erase this local data unless restored via native device backups (iCloud or Google Backup).

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Ad-Supported Free Tier The free version of ChessPuz displays third-party advertisements, including voluntary rewarded videos to gain additional puzzle energy and attempts.

We partner with Google AdMob (Google LLC) to serve advertisements. AdMob may automatically collect and process certain technical data, which may include:

• Device Identifiers: Mobile advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / GAID or Apple IDFA).
• Technical & Network Data: IP address (used for approximate geographic region and fraud prevention), device model, operating system version, and mobile network carrier.
• Ad Telemetry: Ad impressions, click interactions, and diagnostic metrics to monitor delivery and prevent ad fraud.

Consent & User Controls: In applicable jurisdictions (such as the EEA and UK), user consent for personalized vs. non-personalized advertising is gathered via a certified User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent dialog. You can also reset or limit your device advertising identifier at any time via your iOS or Android system settings.

4. In-App Purchases (ChessPuz Pro — Lifetime)

ChessPuz offers an optional one-time purchase ("ChessPuz Pro Lifetime") that completely and permanently disables all in-app advertisements and unlocks unlimited access to all puzzles and modes.

All in-app purchases and license validations are processed exclusively through official app store commerce platforms:

• Apple App Store: Processed securely via Apple StoreKit.
• Google Play Store: Processed securely via Google Play Billing.

We never collect, process, or store your credit card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses. All billing operations are governed by Apple's or Google's respective privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Services Summary

ChessPuz integrates only verified SDKs necessary for monetization and platform operations:

• Google AdMob: For delivering contextual and rewarded advertisements in the free tier.
• Apple StoreKit / Google Play Billing: For secure in-app purchase verification and license restoration.

6. Children's Privacy

ChessPuz does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Ad requests within the application are configured in compliance with applicable platform child protection and COPPA guidelines. If you believe a child has provided personal information to third-party SDKs, please contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revisions will be published with an updated revision date on this legal portal and referenced inside the application settings screen.
